FLIPPED with Fuel and The Mix of Two Rivers Church

Everyone has expectations about people and circumstances. Expectations can be based on religion, cultural norms, the opinions of others, philosophy, or personal experience. Expectations can determine our experiences. Sometimes expectations are just pure conjecture with no real basis. O God who calms the sea...

The ultimate storm that needs to be calmed is the storm of the soul. St. Augustine articulated this truth centuries ago: “Thou hast made us for Thyself, O God, and our hearts are restless till they find rest in Thee.” The good news of the gospel is that Jesus is greater than the storm of the soul and his finished work brings peace to the storm of sin and death.

This statement serves as a reminder of some of our identities in Christ as well as the commission our King has given to each of his followers.
